Established in 1923 as Thurcroft Choral Group, Thurcroft Musical Theatre Group are a long standing group and have stood the test of time,we are now a very strong community group

Our Operatic Move (1931)
In 1931 we became an operatic society performing the works of Gilbert and Sullivan and later moved on to more musical numbers.

Our move to broader Theatre (1974)
In 1974 the group took the decision that they wanted to diversify the content they wanted to show to their audience thus the era of Thurcroft Theatre Group started.

Lets become more Musical (2016)
Recently in 2016 the group changed their name to reflect the type of content they now perform, now giving breathtaking music renditions of anything musical pop,rock,opera... you name it we do it. but we still have the comedy and the same enthusiastic if not slightly crazy cast members that want to give their best performance

Our History
Thurcroft Musical Theatre Group, originally known as Thurcroft Choral Group and later as Thurcroft Amateur Operatic Society, was founded in 1923 by a group of local theatre lovers. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, expanding our repertoire from choral works and operettas to include a wide variety of musical theatre productions. Our performances, such as "That’s Entertainment 2018," have been well-received and praised for their quality and diversity.
